Message to Myself. Have your pupils write a letter, or produce a blog or vlog for their ‘future self’ to open at a significant time. You could do this shortly after mocks, two months before final exams, or at the end of Year 6 ready for the transition to secondary in September. A red postbox, made out of a cardboard box and situated somewhere prominent, could work brilliantly here and allow pupils to post additional memos to themselves. Keep engagement and motivation high by periodically challenging pupils to recall what advice from their past selves is contained in their letter, blog or vlog.
